Funded Hours and Charges
At Manor House Day Care, we believe quality childcare should be affordable, without compromise and without surprises. This page sets out our full funded offer and every charge that could apply, so you know exactly where you stand before your child starts.
Your funded sessions
Your funded hours can be used across three daily sessions, so you can choose the pattern that suits your family best:
Morning session: 8am to 1pm
Afternoon session: 1pm to 6pm
Full day: 8am to 6pm
Whether you are using 15 hours or 30 hours of funding, you are welcome to build your place around whichever of these sessions works for you.
No top-up fees
Some settings ask funded families to pay a "top up" to cover the gap between the funding and their standard fees. We do not. During your child's funded hours you will never be charged a top-up.
No registration fee or deposit
Families taking a funded-only place are not asked to pay our £30 registration fee, and are not asked for a deposit. There is no payment of any kind required before your child can start their funded place.
Food costs, and how to opt out
The only optional charge for a funded-only place is food. Our current food costs are a flat monthly charge:
15 funded hours: £63.95 per month
30 funded hours: £127.90 per month
This covers all of the meals and snacks your child is offered during the sessions they attend:
Morning session, 8am to 1pm: breakfast, morning snack and a hot lunch provided by Zebedees
Afternoon session, 1pm to 6pm: afternoon snack and evening tea
Full day, 8am to 6pm: breakfast, morning snack, hot lunch by Zebedees, afternoon snack and evening tea
This charge is entirely voluntary. If you would prefer to provide your own, you are very welcome to send your child in with a packed lunch and all the meals and snacks they need for each session they attend. Just let us know and we will arrange it. You can choose to opt in or opt out at the start of each term.
No other charges
We make no charge to funded families for consumables such as nappies, wipes or sun cream, and no charge for trips, outings, activities or clubs. There are no other optional extras you will be asked to pay for.
Nothing is a condition of your place
No charge on this page is a condition of accessing your child's funded entitlement. Your funded hours are free at the point of delivery. If you choose not to purchase food from us, your child's place is completely unaffected.
Your invoices
Every invoice we issue is itemised, so you can see clearly what is funded and what, if anything, you have chosen to pay for. Charges are broken down into funded entitlement hours, any additional paid hours, food, consumables and activities.
